Parents and Friends of Barton Hills Elementary,
Help make this school year a huge success and volunteer! There are numerous volunteer opportunities, big and small, throughout the year that you can participate in that will make a difference. You can volunteer once or multiple times, whatever fits your schedule. Volunteering is a lot of fun and makes an impact in our children’s lives. Besides, it’s a chance to escape the adult world and be a kid again!
We have some areas we are attempting to fill as soon as possible. Please take a look at the following and if any appeal to you, contact Volunteer.BHEPTA@yahoo.com. Many are perfect for working parents who would prefer to volunteer mostly after hours from home. Our PTA is largely successful because of time spent by parents like you. What a better investment of your time and expertise but our kids! The volunteer hours of parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. is one of the things that makes Barton Hills Elementary a cut above the rest. WE NEED YOU!

Fun Raising Committee: Assist current Fun Raising Chairs Chris Campbell and Penny Yanez with monthly social events with the expectation of serving as Fun Raising Chair in 2009-10. Fun Raising raises money by receiving a percentage of the proceeds from social events.
Carnival Co-Chair: Assist Carnival Chair Amy Jameson.
Carnival Webpage Writer: Collect and organize information for carnival webpage. Relay information and instructions to Webmaster, Jenny Medford, to load onto webpage.

Volunteer, Have Fun, and Make the School More Beautiful
It’s easy. Just sign up for a garden and, if you want, get friends, family, a class, or a group of students together to design a garden from scratch, add plants to an existing garden, or maintain an existing garden. There is no minimum amount of work required, though we hope people will commit to a school year. You may do as little or as much as you like.
