BHE UNPLUGGED Silent Auction
March 4, 2010

Come enjoy a wonderful adult-only evening with food provided by Matt’s El Rancho, live music, and great silent auction deals for every budget and interest. All proceeds go directly to the BHE PTA and in turn, our school! Parents, family, friends, and community members are welcome.
January PTA Meeting and Choral Performance
Please join us on January 21st at 6:30pm for a short PTA meeting following by a musical performance by our 2nd and 3rd graders. The kids have been practicing very hard and it should be spectacular!

Grocery Card Program:
Please consider joining our Grocery Card Program and purchase HEB Grocery cards from our PTA. You get the full value of the card but the stores donate a percentage of each sale back to our school. You can order cards in either $50 or $100 amounts. It’s a great way to support PTA when you buy groceries!

The Nutcracker!
Join us Tuesday, December 15th at 6:30 pm for the 4–6th grades production of The Nutcracker! Mr. Tabone has been working overtime helping the students learn their lines and tune-up their songs, and parents have been bustling behind the scenes to put together great costumes.
You won’t want to miss it!

Carnival Cakes
If you did not get a chance to see all the awesome cakes entered in the annual carnival cake contest, check them out below!
Medallions!
Where can you find a Panda, Blue Whale, Green Sea Turtle, Monarch Butterfly, Tiger, Mountain Gorilla, and even an Austrailian King Parrot? On this year’s clay medallions, of course! We have them all and plenty to go around. Pre-sale Medallions will be priced at $3 each. We are pre-selling medallions through Friday October 16th, and will distribute them on Tuesday, October 20th
For those of you new to Barton Hills, clay medallions are very popular during carnival. You may pre-pay for one or two medallions. Any remaining medallions will be sold for $5 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:15-7:45, until they are sold out.
Barton Hills T-Shirts!
Barton Hills T-shirts are all the rage! The artwork designed by 5th grader Alexandra Currie-Buckner turned out beautifully on the navy shirts. The PTA provides each student a t-shirt. Additional shirts (youth or adult) are available for $10.00 each. This year we are also featuring a ladies cut shirt. If you would like to purchase a shirt, simply print the order form, complete it and leave it in the PTA box in the office. Deadline to order t-shirts is Friday, September 11.
If your child did not get a shirt at Meet the Teacher, or if you were unable to attend Back to School night, please let Tina know and she will get it to your child’s teacher.
